The Covington Board of Commissioners unanimously voted Tuesday night to continue providing financial support for The Carnegie, a well-known theater and arts education organization located on Scott Street.
The City had provided similar funding last year. City documents indicate that up to $60,000 from the city’s general fund will be set aside for the organization, which can request reimbursements for operating and energy expenses.
City records indicate the Carnegie was reimbursed $10,000 for operating expenses and $50,000 for utilities in fiscal year 2025. Fiscal years run from July 1 to June 30.
The Carnegie is located at 1028 Scott St. Learn more about the organization at thecarnegie.com.
