If you have old electronics, car fluids or gas tanks you’ve been meaning to get rid of safely, now is your chance.
Bring your household hazardous materials for safe disposal to Thomas More Stadium, 7950 Freedom Way in Florence on Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is open to Boone, Kenton and Campbell County residents only.
Accepted hazardous items include:
- Antifreeze
- Batteries (all types)
- Corrosives/flammables (fuel, kerosene, etc.)
- Electronics
- Ink cartridges/toner
- Light bulbs
- Oil/car fluids
- Oil paint (10 can limit)
- Pesticides
- Tanks/cylinders
- Televisions (2 TV limit)
Electronics include items that plug in or take a battery (monitors, keyboards, cell phones, cords, VCRs, cameras and headphones.)
Hazardous items not accepted include:
- Latex paint
- Appliances
- Fertilizer
- Medications
- Tires
- Ammunition
- Explosives
- Radioactives
- Trash/debris
- Furniture/mattresses
- Paper
