From finding safe childcare and reliable healthcare to making sure a car seat is installed correctly, parents learn a lot in the first year of a child’s life.
The Kenton County Public Library is bringing local experts together to help families find answers in one place. The Baby Resource Fair will be held on Aug. 30, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Erlanger Branch located at 401 Kenton Lands Road.
The fair at the Erlanger branch will connect expecting parents and caregivers of babies up to 12 months old with trusted resources from across Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati.
The free event features hands-on solutions, including:
- Free developmental screenings so parents can track milestones early.
- Car seat checks and safety demos to help prevent injuries.
- Workshops on lactation, childcare and preschool options to address common challenges for new parents.
- Prenatal and stroller fitness classes led by Fit4Mom Northern Kentucky to encourage wellness for parents.
- Baby playtime and story time sessions to support early literacy and bonding.
“Parents often do not know where to start when searching for resources, and this fair provides answers to many of the challenges families face,” said Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator for the Kenton County Public Library, Gina Stegner, in a press release. “By bringing healthcare providers, educators and support organizations together, we are offering practical solutions in a welcoming space.”
Representatives from St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, WIC and other community organizations will be on hand to answer questions and connect families with ongoing support.
The baby resource fair is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
