The LINK nky Educator of the Week contest recognizes and celebrates the incredible educators who go above and beyond for Northern Kentucky students every day.
Each week, we will choose three nominees who have made an impact on their community and who represent a diverse mix of roles, grade levels, subject areas, school types and geographic locations.
LINK nky’s Educator of the Week is sponsored by Gateway Community & Technical College. Each weekly winner will advance to the Educator of the Semester contest, where readers will vote to select one outstanding educator to receive a $100 gift card from Gateway to help purchase classroom supplies, decorations and other school essentials.

The Educators
Educator: Sarah Weber
Role: Teacher at Campbell County Middle School
Nominator: Eleanor Ogonek
Why Ogonek nominated Weber:
Ms. Weber never fails to make me smile. She is always in a good mood even if her day wasn’t great. Ms. Weber is a 6th-grade reading teacher, and she was the reason I showed up to school most days. Every day when I had her, I walked in with a smile; she will forever and always be my favorite teacher. Thank you, Ms. Weber, for everything.
Educator: Madison Reed-Perry
Role: Teacher at Turkey Foot Middle School

Why Mitchell nominated Reed-Perry:
I am nominating this teacher because she is the best teacher even though I don’t have her she is such a good teacher and volleyball coach she cares about everyone.
Also, she has so much love in her heart, but she is just an amazing teacher and overall one of the best teachers I have ever had. But she is so sweet; she is loving, she loves family and everybody. She is so nice even if u just met her. But overall, a really nice teacher
Educator: Erin King
Role: Teacher at Bellevue Middle/High School

Why Gentry nominated Erin:
Mrs. King represents everything an outstanding educator should be. Mrs. King goes above and beyond for every student she serves and makes sure that every student deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported regardless of their background.
What makes her so special is the heart she puts into every part of her job, teaching and now school counseling. She works very hard to make sure she is meeting the needs of her students and every responsibility that comes with being a school counselor.
