Although the National Weather Service is warning much of the Greater Cincinnati region against freezing rain and ice accumulations that may follow, Northern Kentucky will likely not experience widespread hazardous weather.

The National Weather Service predicts rain will persist throughout Wednesday night, but much of the risk of ice accumulation is concentrated north of I-70 and the Ohio River. Warmer temps near the river will likely prevent excessive accumulations of ice in the northern parts of Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties.
