Students at Ryland Heights Elementary will soon get to watch several different performances from the Cincinnati Children’s Theater.

Kenton County School District’s Board of Education approved contracts with the theater at their meeting on Monday. With the agreements approved, second and third-grade students at Ryland Heights will be able to watch a rendition of Alice in Wonderland at the Ensemble Theater in Cincinnati on Dec. 3 and Nov. 26, respectively.

The second set of performances will take place in February at Ryland Heights itself. The first, which will take place on Feb. 5, 2025, will be A Piratey Peter Pan, a retelling of the Peter Pan fairy tale. The second, on Feb. 20, is titled Harriet Tubman: Straight Up Outta’ The Underground, will focus on the life of Harriet Tubman and will feature an interactive element with the audience.

Both contracts will be paid for with grant funding.
