The remnants of Hurricane Isaias will reach the Tri-State area this weekend, but the National Weather Service is not expecting widespread severe weather or flooding.
That being said, gusty winds, rain and storms are expected to occur, according to the National Weather Service, with most of the rainfall happening Sunday. Wind speeds of between 25 and 35 miles per hour are expected to begin Saturday night and into Sunday. Rainfall is expected to reach between 1 and 2 inches, depending on the path of the storm.
Hurricane Isaias was heading toward the Gulf Coast as of Thursday, according to reporting from the Associated Press. Evacuation orders have already been issued in parts of Florida, Mississippi and Alabama. The storm is expected to make landfall on the northern Gulf coast either late Friday or early Saturday.
