The City of Newport and subcontractor Madison Tree anticipate rounds of tree pruning throughout the city to begin early in February, according to a recent social media announcement from the city.
The city’s tree management program is divided into ten management zones, displayed on the map below. This year’s work will take place in zones 5 and 6 in the northern areas of the East Row. The work will only entail pruning; no complete tree removal will occur. Signs restricting parking throughout the zones will be placed 24 hours in advance. Residents should plan accordingly.
