The city of Florence is hosting a “public works night out” where residents can learn more about the Public Services Department and what they do.
Participants can enjoy several events and activities “showcasing the work of our dedicated Public Services employees,” according to a release from the city. There will also be educational activities, free food and games for kids, plus an opportunity to name the city’s new street sweeper.
The event is part of National Public Works Week which seeks to “educate the public on the importance of public works in their daily lives.”
City of Florence Public Services Department is hosting the event on May 23 from 4-6 p.m. at the Florence Mall. For more information, contact the Public Services Department at 859-647-5416.
