Members of the Villa Madonna Academy community gathered Sunday night in a vigil for peace, social justice, and an end to racism.

Students and teachers shared reflections and called on the community for an open dialogue to bring an end to racism.

After the service, Villa Madonna Academy’s Class of 2020 was invited to paint the school’s Spirit Rock with their special messages.

The students painted Villa Stands for World Peace, Love, and Respect, and they added the names of those who have become symbols in the fight against racism: George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arubeery, Sandra Bland, Tamir Rice, and Tony McDade.
