Villa Madonna Academy announced Monday the hiring of a new head soccer coach for the boys’ team.
Roger Lane will assume the role next season.
He was previously part of the coaching staff at Northern Kentucky University and also served as an assistant coach at SUNY Maritime College.
Lane played soccer at Farmingdale State College in New York, and holds a doctor of physical therapy from the University of Buffalo in addition to diplomas from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
“I am very excited for this opportunity at Villa Madonna Academy. I’d like to thank Athletic Director Eric Schmitt for putting his faith in me to run this program,” Lane said. “I give a special thanks to my family and close friends who have always guided and supported me throughout this incredible and continuous journey.”
