Thomas More College announced that two soccer student-athletes earned weekly honors from the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) office on Monday.
Sophomore forward Julia Flagge-Echols was named the PAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. She helped the 17th-ranked Saints post a 2-0 record last week with shutout wins over Transylvania and Ohio Northern. Flagge-Echols led the team in scoring with seven points on three goals and one assist, including the eventual game-winning score against Ohio Northern.
Junior forward Brian Runyon was named the PAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. He helped lead 25th-ranked Thomas More to a 3-0 record last week by totaling seven points on three goals and one assist. Runyon recorded a hat trick in the Saints’ 4-1 win at Heidelberg and assisted on a Colin Dean goal against Marietta.
The Thomas More men’s and women’s soccer teams will both host DePauw University today at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills. The men’s match is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., followed by the women’s match at 4:30 p.m.
