Students in Covington are spending the summer honing their math and reading skills — and also learning more about their hometown.

With the theme Love the Cov, students in the Covington Independent Public Schools summer program are taking field trips to places like The Carnegie, the Licking River Greenway & Trails, Behringer-Crawford Museum, Kenton County Public Library, and the Latonia Waterpark.

The program is conducted at each elementary school through July 25.

For middle and high school students, the program starts Monday, July 7 and runs through July 31. To enroll or to learn more, contact Stacie Strotman at stacie.strotman@covington.kyschools.us or 859-392-3179.
