The Crestview Hills City Council approved a property rate tax increase at last week’s meeting.
Council conducted the first reading of an ordinance that would set the city’s 2026 property tax rate at $0.159 per $100 of assessed property value.
Officials said the rate combines the compensating tax rate with an additional 4 percent and will generate about $39,107 more in revenue.
City officials clarified that the increase is not a 4 percent rise in individual property taxes. For a $100,000 property, the increase is about $5. A public hearing and second reading are set for Sept. 10.
