Former Fort Wright City Council Member and businessman Jeff Wolnitzek passed away at the age of 66, leaving behind a legacy of self-sacrificing civic spirit and dedication to the city. A service to honor his life to be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at St. Agnes Church in Fort Wright.
Fort Wright asks state to take over Dudley Road bridge
The Fort Wright City Council has asked the state of Kentucky to take over ownership and maintenance of a bridge on Dudley Road, which traverses Banklick Creek and leads into an area containing Gateway Community and Technical College’s Transportation Technology Center, a pumping station for Sanitation District 1 and – in time – a new regional fire training facility.

Fort Wright can now revoke liquor licenses over delinquent property taxes
Fort Wright city council passed two ordinances to give the city more leverage over delinquent taxpayers, with the aim of disrupting an organization’s operations if it does not pay its property taxes.
