The dynamic Holy Cross hitter Julia Hunt collected her 2,000th career kill in the 3-2 (23-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-19, 15-13) Indians win over the visiting Scott Eagles.
The Indians (12-1) needed every one of the 57 kills, 53 assists, eight blocks, 14 aces and 58 digs they tallied to win this one. Hunt finished with 40 kills, five aces, 12 digs and four blocks. Lucy Lenihan had 42 assists with Luci Wurtz and Lacey Hunt recording three aces each. Braelyn Romanello and Camille Lowe had eight and five kills, respectively.
Scott put up 15 aces, 39 kills, two blocks, 13 assists and 11 digs. Milyn Minor and Brooklyn Helm had 13 and 11 kills, respectively, and Minor had four digs. Ryann Grigsby had 12 assists and Helm seven aces.
Holy Cross plays host to Holmes (2-8) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Scott (9-7) plays at Lloyd Memorial (4-5) on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Dixie Heights 3, Lloyd Memorial 0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-14)
The Colonels knocked off the Juggernauts to move to 2-0 in 34th District action.
Christen Tarter had 12 digs and five aces for the Colonels (8-7) and Maddie Kelly had 32 assists. Maggie Best had 11 kills with Madison Offner and Celia Wallace contributing eight and seven respectively.
Dixie Heights travels to Simon Kenton (10-2) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Lloyd Memorial (4-5) plays host to Scott (9-7) on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Bishop Brossart 3, Montgomery County 0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-10)
The Mustangs downed the visiting Indians in a 10th Region battle.
Brossart (7-2) had nine aces, 27 kills, two blocks, 25 assists and 68 digs in the win. Kate Neltner and Payton Parker had eight and six kills, respectively. Maddie Kremer had 22 digs and Jessica Keller had 12 digs and three aces. Neltner added 10 digs and Aubrey Rebholz had 18 assists.
Brossart plays at Walton-Verona (9-3) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Simon Kenton 3, Grant County 0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-23)
The Pioneers moved to 2-0 in 32nd District seed play with the convincing win.
Simon Kenton (10-2) had 41 kills, 42 digs, 38 assists and 12 aces in the win using three different lineups. Ceanna Scalf had nine assists, six digs and one kill with Sophie Spanier adding seven kills, eight digs and six aces. Alisha Hawkins had 10 kills and three aces with Jenna Kitchens slamming down 11 kills.

Newport Central Catholic 3, Dayton 0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-17)
The Thoroughbreds moved to 2-0 in 36th District seed play with the convincing road win.
NewCath (5-11) had eight aces, 30 kills, 26 assists and 66 digs in the win. Kori Reckers had nine kills, 10 assists and 14 digs to lead the way. Paytin Reckers added 14 digs and Vivi Fassler had a team-high 11 assists. Reese McCloskey added eight kills. Lucy Simons, Paytin Reckers and Madison Wolf had two aces each.
Dayton (3-8) plays at Williamstown (4-5) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Walton-Verona 3, Williamstown 0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-9)
The Bearcats won their seventh in a row in the 32nd District seed win.
Walton-Verona (9-3) had 32 kills, one block, 32 assists, 56 digs and 14 aces. Isabella O’Brien had 11 digs, 10 kills and five aces to lead the way. Natalie Ferguson had 18 digs with Amber Hall and Makenna Simpson contributing 15 and 13 assists respectively.
Walton-Verona plays host to Bishop Brossart (7-2) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Pioneers edged the visiting Colonels in a rivalry win.
“We’ve played in previous tight games. I think it helped us handle the pressure. We played very good on defense,” said Jeremy Wolfe, Simon Kenton head coach. “We played very disciplined. We had a game plan. We stuck to it.”
Simon Kenton (7-4-1) outshot Dixie Heights, 6-4. Miles Mullen made two saves for the Pioneers with Dixie Heights goalkeepers Brady Meyer and Brandon Honnerlaw making four and one, respectively.
Dominick Dornbusch scored the goal for the Pioneers. He leads Simon Kenton with seven on the season.
Simon Kenton plays host to Grant County (5-4) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Dixie Heights (4-5-1) travels to St. Henry (1-8) on Thursday at 8 p.m.

The Raiders won their seventh straight with a convincing 9th Region home win.
Diego Hoenderkamp scored three goals and added one assist to lead the Raiders (7-2) and Brice Denigan had one goal and one assist. Chase McCarthy had the other goal with Eddie Francis, Drew Scott and Ricardo Galan adding one assist each. Goalkeeper Jack Nieman had three saves for the Raiders.
Ryle plays host to Highlands (6-1-2) on Thursday at 7:45 p.m. St. Henry (1-8) goes to Dixie Heights for an 8 p.m. game the same day.
Campbell County 3, Boone County 1
The Camels won their fourth in a row in the non-region win.
Noah Rittinger led the Camels (5-5-1) with two goals and one assist. Tate Glass had the other goal and Austin Bush an assist with goalkeeper Brycen Faulkner making four saves.
Denis Rodriguez scored the only goal for the Rebels (4-6) and Parker Byland had the assist. Goalkeeper David Courtney made three saves.
Campbell County plays host to Beechwood (4-5) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Boone County plays at Conner (5-3-1) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

The Mustangs rolled to a third straight win in the non-region battle.
Alex Runge had three goals and an assist for Brossart (7-2-3) with Brennan Callahan recording two goals and two assists. Tyler Smith and Max Runge had one goal and two assists each. Goalkeeper Michael Cooney had one save.
Alihan Ceylan scored the goal for the Bearcats (4-5). Goalkeeper Sam Kunkle had seven saves.
Brossart plays host to Montgomery County (6-7) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Walton-Verona plays host to Carroll County (3-4) at the same time.

The Cougars won their fifth in a row in the 9th Region contest.
Liam Windsor scored the goal for the Cougars (5-3-1) and Jeremy Alig had the assist. Goalkeeper Owen King had four saves.

The Thoroughbreds lost a tight road battle.
Vinny Petroze and Reid Enxel scored the goals for the Thoroughbreds (8-3). Petroze has seven goals on the season and Enxel two.
NewCath plays host to Scott (4-6) on Thursday at 5 p.m.
Holmes 6, Aiken (Ohio) 4
The Bulldogs rallied from a 4-2 halftime deficit to pull out their third win of the season.
Holmes (3-6) got three goals from Maximas Tafoya and a goal apiece from Robert Cameron, Claude Tumusifu and Chidera Nwobi. Cameron added an assist and Miguel Kennedy had 13 saves in goal.
The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday when they host district foe Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m.

Alex Winterman did the lone damage as the Jaguars defeated the Indians.
Landon Hughes had the assist with Carson Morgan collecting three saves in net to preserve the shutout.
Cooper (3-3-3) travels Southwest to Henderson County on Saturday to take on the Colonels in the Colonel Classic. They’ll also take on Owensboro that day. Holy Cross (4-5-1) plays at Holmes on Thursday.
