The KHSAA state team tennis tournament will be May 28-29 in Lexington at two different sites.

The boys tournament will take place at the Hillary J. Boone Tennis Complex with the first round and quarterfinals played on May 28, the semifinals and championship on May 29.

Covington Catholic is on the hunt for their fourth straight state title. They open up with Pikeville in the first round. They won their 24th straight region team title over the weekend with a 3-0 victory over Highlands.

BOYS BRACKET

The girls tournament is at the Sayre Athletic Complex on May 28 for the first round and quarterfinals with the semifinals and championship on May 29 at the Hillary J. Boone Tennis Complex.

Northern Kentucky will face off in the first round as Ryle will face Scott. The winner will face the South Warren/Bullitt East winner in the quarterfinals.

Ryle earned the team title by taking down back-to-back champion Notre Dame in the 9th Region championship, 3-2. Scott defeated Bourbon County 3-2 in the 10th Region championship.

GIRLS BRACKET

Boys and girls singles and doubles state tournament action gets underway on Wednesday with the sub-state rounds. Regions 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12 are paired against one another.

The final rounds are then played May 26-27 at either Sayre or the Hillary J. Boone Tennis Complex.
