About the only thing left for Cooper’s Reagan Ramage to do in her high school career is win the state tournament.
She’s certainly in the hunt for it, finishing her 18 holes at three-over-par and five off the lead after the first round of the KHSAA Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac girls state golf tournament at Bowling Green Country Club.
Ramage, a five-time region champion, closed strong with three birdies on her last four holes to shake off five bogeys and a double bogey in her first 14 holes. On the day, she finished with eight pars, five bogeys, four birdies and a double bogey.
She’ll be in chase mode on Saturday, Rowan County’s Athena Singh the only girl to finish the day under par at two-under. Madison Central’s Haley Federspiel is second at one-over.
Ramage is one of five northern Kentucky girls that qualified for the final rounds of the state tournament.

Dixie Heights’ Tatjana Andracenko is in 13th after firing a seven-over 79, the Colonels sophomore who recently picked the game back up after taking five years off, started one-under through three holes. Double bogeys hurt on No. 4 and No. 6 as she went four-over on the front nine. Her back nine was more steady with six pars and three bogeys.
Notre Dame’s Didi Jiradamkerng is in a tie for 24th after a 10-over 82. Starting her day on the back nine, the Pandas senior was steady at even par through her first seven holes before a string of eight straight bogeys.

Ryle’s Anika Okuda is tied for 35th after a 12-over 84. Okuda had eight pars and a birdie in her round.
Bishop Brossart’s Emma Laker is tied for 77th after a 94.
