The Kentucky High School Football Media Poll is conducted by 16 sports journalists throughout the state, with one representative for each of the 16 basketball regions in order to provide geographical balance. The poll will be released each Wednesday morning throughout the regular season.
In the seventh edition of the media poll, things stayed put for northern Kentucky teams for the most part. The small movement came in 6A, where Ryle dropped from a tie for fifth and into sixth alone, Beechwood moving up from No. 3 to No. 2 in the 2A poll and Bishop Brossart moving up from a tie for ninth into eighth in the 1A poll while Newport dropped from No. 7 to No. 10 in 1A.
Cooper (No. 1 in 5A), Highlands (No. 4 in 5A), Conner (No. 9 in 5A), Covington Catholic (No. 5 in 4A), Lloyd Memorial (No. 7 in 3A) and Newport Central Catholic (No. 6 in 1A) all stayed in the same spot.
Ludlow (1A) remained in the others receiving votes category.
