James Cusick’s receiving touchdown with 33 seconds remaining gave Beechwood the one-point victory in the Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic played at Corbin High School.

It was one of two touchdown passes for Tigers quarterback Clay Hayden, who was named the MVP of the game.

Chase Flaherty punched in two rushing touchdowns, adding a receiving touchdown as well.

Beechwood’s secondary rose to the occasion with two interceptions, Tyler Fryman and Luke Erdman picking off a pass. Special teams also played a big factor, Colson Lair hitting the extra point on the Tigers game-winning drive while Pulaski missed theirs on a go-ahead touchdown with three minutes and change remaining. Lair went 4-for-4 on PATs.

Beechwood (1-0) returns home next week against Campbell County.
