The Conner girls basketball team started the week off on the right foot edging host Grant County, 58-55 for its sixth win in the last eight games.
Anna Hamilton made 10-of-14 free throws on her way to 18 points to lead the Cougars. Aubree Depenbrock and Izelee Kerns followed scoring 14 and 10, respectively.
Conner (9-10) hosts Ryle on Friday at 6 p.m.
Girls Basketball
Bishop Brossart 53, Boone County 33
The Mustangs had an 11-day layoff and got back into action downing the host Rebels.
Rachel Shewmaker led the Mustangs with 17 points and Zoee Meyers scored nine.
Lyric Hooper scored 12 points to lead Boone County and Joslyn Humphrey scored eight.
Bishop Brossart (12-3) travels to Simon Kenton on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Boone County (3-13) has lost nine in a row and travels to Cooper on Friday at 6 p.m.
Bellevue 55, Villa Madonna 44
The Tigers hit the road and won their third straight.
Sydni Massey made five three-pointers on her way to 24 points to lead Bellevue. Jayda Dowell followed with 12 and Jaylah Dowell grabbed her 500th career rebound in the contest.
Bellevue (12-4) travels to Ludlow on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Villa Madonna (3-11) hosts Dixie Heights on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Dixie Heights 54, Beechwood 18
The Colonels stifled the Tigers and were led by Catherine Buddenberg with 14 points.
Nine different Colonels scored in the contest, Bella Crawford adding 12 points, Peyton Gibson chipping in nine.
Dixie Heights (8-8) has won three in a row and play at Villa Madonna on Wednesday in a 34th District matchup at 7 p.m. Beechwood (5-11) has lost four in a row and looks to break the losing streak on Saturday against Holy Cross at 2:30 p.m. in a 35th District matchup.
Highlands 66, Dayton 24
The Bluebirds knocked down 13 three-pointers in the 36th District victory, Saylor Macke hitting four for a team-high 12 points.
Isa Neufarth followed with 11 points and hit all three of her 3-p5-oint attempts as 12 different Highlands players scored. Highlands won the rebounding battle 35-15, Marissa Green leading the way with eight rebounds.
Dayton was led by Axie Jimenez with nine points.
Highlands (11-5) has now won 10 of 11 and has a 36th District showdown with Newport Central Catholic on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Greendevils (5-14) host Covington Latin on Friday at 7 p.m.
Ludlow 55, Holmes 38
Olivia King led the way with 15 points as Ludlow won their third straight. Addy Garrett added 10 and Ava Hoffmeister was a problem on the boards with 18 rebounds and adding seven points.
Holmes was paced by Emily Tomas with 13 points. India Tye added 10.
The Panthers (11-7) host Bellevue on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs (2-17) play at St. Henry on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Simon Kenton 58, St. Henry 41
Haylie Webb’s 25-point, 13 rebound performance powered the Pioneers past the Crusaders.
Anna Kelch added 13 and eight rebounds as Simon Kenton won their third straight. Brynli Pernell chipped in nine.
The Pioneers (13-5) will look to make it four in a row on Thursday when they host Bishop Brossart at 7:30 p.m. The Crusaders (7-8) host Holmes on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Garyn Jackson and Broc Sorgenfrei followed with 12 and 10, respectively.
William McElheney led Holy Cross with 16 points and Nate Rominger scored 12.
Campbell County (13-4) travels to Montgomery County on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. game.
Holy Cross (11-6) hosts Holmes on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Ryle 69, Newport Central Catholic 60

The Raiders knocked off the Thoroughbreds on the road in 9th Region play.
Landon Lorms put up 30 points, making three 3-pointers and 11-of-13 free throws to lead Ryle. Jonathan DeGroff followed with nine.
Caleb Eaglin led NewCath with 21 points. Gabe Lyons followed with 12 and Ian Mann scored 11.
Ryle (10-6) travels to Conner on Friday at 8 p.m. for a 33rd District battle.
NewCath (5-12) travels to Bellevue on Thursday for a36th District seed game at 7:30 p.m.
St. Henry 58, Bishop Brossart 48
The Crusaders left Alexandria with a comeback victory.
Trailing 22-18 at the half, St. Henry outscored the Mustangs 40-26 in the second half.
Brady Shea led St. Henry with 19 points and Andy Reis scored 14 with Ryan Hartman scoring nine.
Ben Doyle led Brossart with 12 points and Alex Combs scored 10.
St. Henry (6-10) hosts Newport on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Brossart (3-12) travels to Scott at for a 37th District battle at the same time.
Scott 74, Calvary Christian 36
The Eagles won the 37th District contest by a wide margin thanks to shooting 56% from the field and led by Connor Griffen’s 18 points.
Carter Eten pulled down eight rebounds while Jon Evans dished out three assists. Dylan Giffen also hit double figures with 16 points. Eleven different Eagles scored in the contest.
Scott (9-9) turns back around on Thursday for another district tilt at home against Brossart at 7:30 p.m. Calvary Christian (5-14) hosts Dayton on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
