You’ve voted for 10 Team of the Week winners for the winter sports season. Now is your time to weigh in on who the Team of the Season should be!
Thanks to OrthoCincy Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, we are again proud to partner and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our local high school athletes and teams! For the second year, the LINK nky Team of the Week program presents the addition of the Team of the Season (TOTS) and Team of the Year (TOTY) awards.
Sports seasons are considered fall, winter and spring for the purpose of this awards program. At the conclusion of each sports season, an overall TOTS winner will be chosen from all previous TOTW winners for that season. Their school will also receive a
$500 scholarship to be presented to the athlete of their choice at the end of the school year. St. Henry’s boys cross country team was the TOTS winner for the fall sports season.
Finally, the program culminates by selecting one TOTY from the three TOTS award winners. Online and print articles will again be published, a large commemorative plaque will be presented and the school will receive an additional $500 scholarship to
be presented to the athlete of their choice at the end of the school year.
The 10 Team of the Week winners from the winter sports season are as follows:
Nov. 30-Dec. 6: Boone County boys basketball team
Dec. 7-13: Conner archery team
Dec. 19-Jan. 4: St. Henry girls basketball team
Jan. 5-11: Ryle archery team
Jan. 12-18: Highlands dance team
Jan. 19-25: Highlands swim and dive team
Jan. 26-Feb. 1: Ryle boys swim and dive team
Feb. 2-8: Beechwood boys basketball team
Feb. 9-15: Ludlow girls basketball team
Feb. 16-22: Conner boys wrestling team
