You’ve voted for 10 Team of the Week winners. Now is your time to weigh in on who the Team of the Season should be!
Thanks to OrthoCincy Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, we are again proud to partner and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our local high school athletes and teams! In similar fashion as last season, the LINK nky Team of the Week program is recognizing a the Team of the Season (TOTS) and Team of the Year (TOTY).
Sports seasons are considered fall, winter and spring for the purpose of this awards program. At the conclusion of each sports season, an overall TOTS winner will be chosen from all previous TOTW winners for that season. Their school will also receive a
$500 scholarship to be presented to the athlete of their choice.
Finally, the program culminates by selecting one TOTY from the three TOTS award winners. Online and print articles will again be published, a large commemorative plaque will be presented and the school will receive an additional $500 scholarship to
be presented to the athlete of their choice at the end of the school year.
The 10 Team of the Week winners from the fall sports season are as follows:
Aug. 24-30: Holy Cross football
Aug. 31-Sept. 6: Walton-Verona football
Sept. 7-13: Newport Central Catholic girls soccer
Sept. 14-20: Villa Madonna volleyball
Sept. 21-27: Ludlow girls soccer
Sept. 28-Oct. 4: Beechwood girls soccer
Oct. 5-11: Campbell County boys soccer
Oct. 12-18: Simon Kenton football
Oct. 19-25: St. Henry boys cross country
Oct. 26-Nov. 1: Lloyd Memorial football
