Months after being named Miss Kentucky Volleyball by the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association, Holy Cross senior Julia Hunt was named the Gatorade Kentucky Volleyball Player of the Year.
Hunt, committed to the University of Washington, helped lead Holy Cross to a 23-11 record while recording 658 kills, 114 blocks, 286 digs and 83 aces in the 2023 season. She led the state in kills heading into the postseason and was 22nd in blocks.
She is rated as Kentucky’s top high school volleyball player, according to prepdig.com. Hunt finished her high school volleyball career with over 2,000 kills and 500 blocks.
Hunt recently helped lead Holy Cross to the 9th Region All “A” girls basketball title as they look to defend their All “A” state crown later this month.
