The LINK nky Team of the Week for Dec. 11-17 presented by Ortho Cincy is the Campbell County boys basketball team. 

The Camels dominated the vote, collecting nearly 90% as they ran away from the competition.

Earning Campbell County Team of the Week honors was their 2-0 week with wins over Highlands and Bishop Brossart.

Campbell County is off to a 6-1 start and went 2-0 the week of Dec. 11-17 with victories over Highlands (61-54) and Bishop Brossart (78-47).

In the win over Highlands, Connor Weinel led the way with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Broc Sorgenfrei added 19 points and Nathan Smith chipped in nine. Getting them off on the right foot in district play was thanks to a balanced effort with five Camels hitting double figure scoring. Sorgenfrei and Garyn Jackson had 16 points each, Weinel with 15, William Johnson 11 and Smith with 10.

The Camels followed it up with another 2-0 week Dec. 18-24, earning another 37th District victory on Dec. 18 with a 93-41 victory over Calvary Christian. They moved to 6-1 with a 73-59 victory over Ashland on Dec. 21.

Congratulations to our other nominees as well: Cooper cheerleading team, Bellevue girls basketball team, Cooper archery team and the Ryle wrestling team.
