The LINK nky Team of the Week for April 3 through 9 presented by Ortho Cincy is the Ludlow baseball team.
It was a super close vote this past week and Ludlow edged the Conner baseball team by four votes. Ludlow finished with 29.3% of the vote, all four nominees tallying over 20% of the vote as Conner had 26.7%, Cooper softball with 22.2% and Beechwood baseball at 21.6%.
Earning Ludlow Team of the Week honors was their 4-0 week.
LUDLOW BASEBALL TEAM

Ludlow went from under .500 to three games over .500 in a week after going 4-0 from April 3-9. The Panthers defeated Calvary Christian (1-0), Dayton (6-4), Williamstown (9-8) and Gallatin County (8-7) to improve to 8-5 on the year.
Mason Sebastian pitched a complete game two-hitter in the win over Calvary while striking out three. Jackson Mays provided the game’s lone RBI while also stealing two bases.
The Panthers collected 12 hits in the win over Dayton, Kaden Morrison leading the way with three hits and two RBI, Gabe Payne, Camden Caudill and Mays added two hits apiece, Mays driving in two runs.
Joseph Scott and Joey Eads had multi-hit performances in the win over Williamstown, Mays getting the win in relief, pitching 1.1 scoreless.
The win over Gallatin came in extra innings, Sebastian providing the pop at the plate with three hits and two RBI. Kaden Morrison and Caudill had two hits apiece while Eads added two RBI. Mays produced again in relief, not allowing an earned run over three innings.
Ludlow currently sits at 10-8 on the season after going 2-3 last week.
