Cincinnati Padel Club Opens First Dedicated Outdoor Padel Facility in Greater Cincinnati
Four state-of-the-art courts welcome players of all levels, with no membership required
NEWTOWN, Ohio, October 15, 2026. Cincinnati Padel Club is now open at 3804 Church Street as Greater Cincinnati’s first dedicated outdoor Padel facility. The opening follows construction and operational delays.
The club features four cutting-edge courts imported from Spain and manufactured by AFP Courts, which also manufactures Adidas Padel Courts. Tempered safety glass, reinforced steel frames and synthetic turf create a premium playing environment, with LED lighting for evening play.
Padel combines elements of tennis and squash, with underhand serves and play usually organized as doubles. Easy to learn, it differs from pickleball through its tennis-style ball and larger, glass-enclosed court, where wall rebounds are part of rallies.
Cincinnati Padel Club plans to offer free introductory clinics in spring 2027 covering the rules, scoring, serving and wall play, with no prior racquet sport experience or membership required. The club currently offers reduced fall pricing, rental and demo racquets, private lessons and open play. Spring clinic details will be announced at CincinnatiPadelClub.com, with registration opening through the Playtomic app.
“Now that the courts are ready, we want people to come out and enjoy the game this fall,” said Rich Lonneman, who leads Cincinnati Padel Club. “Our spring introductory clinics will help newcomers get comfortable on court as the 2027 season gets underway. Our goal is to build a community around padel where players of all levels feel welcome and form friendships that extend beyond the court.”
Padel is popular in Europe and South America. The club looks forward to welcoming employees and families of GE Aerospace, Procter & Gamble and other global employers in Greater Cincinnati, especially those familiar with the sport through living or working abroad. Cincinnati Padel Club has partnered with Fifty West Brewing Company to offer food and beverage options for group outings and corporate events.
“Cincinnati Padel Club fits well on our 6-acre campus, alongside WagsPark,” said Bob Slattery of Slats Enterprise, LLC, the property owner and landlord. “With the Little Miami Scenic Trail nearby, it adds another way for people to be active and spend time together. We’re pleased to provide a home for Rich’s team as they welcome new players to the sport.”
The club adds to the recreation options near the Little Miami Scenic Trail, which connects with the CROWN, the Cincinnati Riding or Walking Network.
“Cincinnati Padel Club provides residents and visitors another opportunity to explore and enjoy this recreation corridor,” said Todd Palmeter, CEO of Great Parks of Hamilton County. “Local destinations like this complement the growing CROWN network, including our river access improvements at Bass Island in the Little Miami Scenic Corridor opening in early 2027. Together, these opportunities help make Greater Cincinnati a special place to live, work, and play.”
Fall play is planned through November, with the 2027 season expected to begin in March. For reservations, clinic updates, hours and pricing, visit CincinnatiPadelClub.com or find Cincinnati Padel Club in the Playtomic app.
