Viva Voices Choral Organization Announces Inspiring 2026–2027 Concert Season
Five unforgettable concerts celebrating community, artistry, and the transformative power of choral music

COVINGTON, KY – Viva Voices Choral Organization is proud to announce its dynamic 2026–2027 concert season, featuring five distinctive performances that showcase the organization’s children, youth, and adult ensembles in a wide variety of musical styles and meaningful collaborations. The season continues Viva Voices’ mission of connecting people through exceptional choral music while celebrating community, creativity, and the shared human experience.

“Our upcoming season truly reflects who we are as an organization,” said Tony Burdette, Founding Artistic Director of Viva Voices. “Each concert tells a different story, explores a unique theme, and invites audiences to experience the incredible emotional power of choral music. Whether it’s joyful, reflective, inspiring, or celebratory, there’s something in this season for everyone.”

The season opens on Saturday, November 14, with SING FOR THE 859, a benefit concert supporting Master Provisions and its mission to eliminate hunger throughout Northern Kentucky. Hosted by Local 12 new anchor Sheila Gray, this special free community event will feature performances by the Viva Voices Chorale, Chamber Ensemble, Children’s Choir, Youth Chorus, and Youth Chamber Choir.

Just one week later, on Saturday, November 21, the Children’s Choir, Youth Chorus, and Youth Chamber Choir present WHERE MUSIC FLOWS, an imaginative concert celebrating rivers, water, and the journey of life through music. The program will feature music inspired by flowing streams, oceans, rain, and the many ways water connects us all.

On Saturday, March 6, the Viva Voices Chorale and Chamber Ensemble present MAGNIFICAT, featuring two beloved settings of Mary’s song of praise by Gerald Finzi and John Rutter. Performed in the beautiful sanctuary of Mother of God Church in Covington, and accompanied by a full orchestra, this concert promises an inspiring afternoon of sacred choral masterworks.

The Children’s Choir, Youth Chorus, and Youth Chamber Choir return to the stage on Sunday, May 2, with THE RHYTHM OF LIFE, an energetic celebration of rhythm, energy, and the heartbeat of life itself. Filled with vibrant music in varying styles, the concert highlights the enthusiasm, artistry, and growing musicianship of Viva Voices’ young singers.

The season concludes on Saturday, May 22, with ILLUMINARE: The Music of Elaine Hagenberg. This breathtaking performance by the Viva Voices Chorale, Chamber Ensemble, and full orchestra will feature some of the acclaimed composer’s most beloved works in the stunning acoustics of Christ Church Cathedral in Cincinnati, most notably her major work, ILLUMINARE.

“This season demonstrates the remarkable versatility of our singers,” Burdette said. “From meaningful community outreach to treasured sacred masterpieces, from imaginative youth programming to contemporary choral classics, every concert has been thoughtfully designed to inspire audiences and celebrate the joy of singing together.”

Since its founding in 2021, Viva Voices has grown into one of the region’s premier choral organizations, serving more than 200 singers of all ages through its Children’s Choir, Youth Chorus, Youth Chamber Choir, Chorale, and Chamber Ensemble. The organization is committed to making high-quality choral music accessible while building community through artistic excellence.
