For more than two decades, Kentucky high school sports fans have relied on the Riherds/KHSAA Scoreboard as one of the best places to find schedules, scores, rosters and other information from across the Bluegrass.
The scoreboard has been the go-to of Kentucky high school athletics since 1998.
Much like everything in life, all good things come to an end. Frank Riherd, who developed and owned the scoreboard software, announced his retirement effective in June. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association announced they would not be buying the software to continue the existing platform, leaving things up in the air for a new scoreboard headed into the 2026-27 school year.
Arbiterlive.com will be a website to go to for that information. They’ll have schedules, scores and rosters. The information is entered by athletic directors and coaches which also makes it possible to follow more than just varsity teams, with junior varsity and freshman schedules and results included when schools enter that information.

With ArbiterLive, it’s part of a broader technology relationship between the KHSAA and ArbiterSports. The KHSAA previously announced that its Arbiter360 system would be used by schools for areas including schedules, student rosters and other athletic administration functions.
The Riherds/KHSAA Scoreboard is expected to remain available as a historical resource, preserving years of Kentucky high school sports information.
An important piece is still being finalized: the actual replacement for the traditional statewide live scoreboard. The KHSAA has indicated that more information on where fans should go for that scoreboard experience is expected to be announced soon.
