Free Family Event Returns to Florence: Gateway Summer Fest Set for July 18

Florence, Ky. – Families looking for a fun, free way to spend a summer Saturday are invited to Gateway Community & Technical College’s annual Summer Fest on Saturday, July 18, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Gateway’s Boone Campus, located at 500 Technology Way in Florence.

Summer Fest is a family-friendly community event featuring activities for all ages, including face painting, a balloon artist, games, and a Cuddly Critter Encounter with ducks, bunnies, guinea pigs, and other small animals. Guests can connect with local organizations and learn more about Gateway’s academic programs and student resources.

Attendees can enjoy free pizza, treats, and giveaways, and the first 100 Kona Ice snow cones will be free.

“Summer Fest is a chance for families to have fun, meet neighbors, and get to know Gateway in a relaxed and welcoming environment,” said event organizer, Maddi Kues. “Whether you’re exploring college options or simply looking for something fun to do with the kids, we’d love to see you there.”

Summer Fest is free and open to the public.
