FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Treasurer Metcalf Bringing Unclaimed Property Outreach Event to Kenton County

Treasurer Mark H. Metcalf and the Kentucky State Treasury have officially surpassed $100 million in unclaimed property returned to Kentuckians under Treasurer Metcalf—a record-setting milestone achieved faster than any previous administration in Kentucky history.

To continue reconnecting Kentuckians with their missing money, the Kentucky State Treasury’s Unclaimed Property team will host an outreach event in Kenton County on Friday, June 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at:
5272 Madison Pike
Independence, KY 41051

Treasury staff will be on-site to assist Kenton County residents in searching for unclaimed property and filing claims. The process is free, quick, and typically only takes a few minutes.

Currently, more than $23.5 million in unclaimed property is available for Kenton County residents to claim. Many Kentuckians are surprised to learn they have funds waiting to be recovered, including forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance proceeds, utility deposits, and other assets.

Residents may also search for unclaimed property at any time by visiting treasury.ky.gov.
