COVINGTON, KY, April 20, 2026 – The Covington Farmers Market, a program of the Center for Great Neighborhoods, announces its return to Washington Street in downtown Covington as the outdoor season kicks off on May 2.

The 2026 outdoor season will welcome over 30 vendors to the market, including local farmers as well as crafters and artisans, along with local nonprofit and civic groups. Each week, the market will feature up to 25 unique vendors, offering a wide variety of produce, home goods, plants, artwork and more. New-to-market vendors include a gluten-free baker and new farmer vendors, bringing even more fresh and locally-grown produce every week.

To celebrate the start of the outdoor season, the Covington Farmers Market will be giving away insulated, reusable shopping bags to the first 50 customers, so visitors should plan to get there when the market opens at 9 a.m. to snag their free bag.

The market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from May 2 through October 31, 2026, located along Washington Street in Covington between W. 6th Street and W. Pike Street. The market is just blocks away from Mainstrasse as well as the Madison Avenue business corridor, with many local eateries and shops to visit before or after a trip to the market.

The Covington Farmers Market will be posting updates throughout the season on upcoming activities, from arts and crafts to visits from aquatic creatures, to music and other entertainment. Visitors can keep up to date by visiting www.facebook.com/covingtonfarmersmarket for announcements throughout the season.
The Covington Farmers Market also serves as a startup catalyst for small businesses, growers, and local farms. In 2025, the Farmers Market vendors brought in over $160,000 in revenue, and over the years multiple vendors tracing their roots to a market booth have created brick and mortar, successful businesses here in Covington. The Covington Farmers Market is a member of Kentucky Proud and one of the few Kentucky-based Farmers Market within a 15-mile radius that accepts food assistance cards.

The Center for Great Neighborhoods is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is a catalyst for positive growth in Covington. We spark this growth by bringing people together, encouraging them to work with each other, and supporting their efforts to shape the future of their community. Our programs are all designed to help residents build on the great parts of Covington and to develop solutions to both individual and community issues.
