While the Queen City prepares for a weekend of roses and chocolates, the Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati is asking the community to show some love to its littlest neighbors this Valentine’s Day.
All month long, the Assistance League is hosting a diaper drive. Because diapers are not covered by SNAP or WIC benefits, many low-income families struggle to afford them – making a clean diaper the most heartfelt gift a local family can receive this February.
“Donating diapers and wipes is a simple yet practical act that says to families, ‘We see you, and we are cheering you on,’” said Karla Snow with The Vinedresser, an Assistance League partner in Florence that provides free diapers to foster and kinship families.
A lack of clean diapers can lead to health issues for infants and prevent parents from accessing childcare, which often requires a daily supply of diapers. This diaper drive ensures that every “wee” Valentine in our community stays dry, healthy, and happy.
