Stand-Up Meets Therapy in New Alt-Comedy Show at Commonwealth Comedy Club
STAND UP THERAPY
Comedians perform. Therapists respond. Everyone watches.
DAYTON, KY What happens when comedians bare their souls and licensed therapists are legally allowed to respond? Stand Up Therapy is a brand-new alt comedy show that blends stand-up, psychology, and gentle emotional chaos- coming to Commonwealth Comedy Club on Thursday, February 5th at 8:00 PM.
Hosted by comedian Shawn Braley, Stand Up Therapy features comics performing short stand-up sets in front of a live audience and three licensed therapists. After each set, the therapists ask questions, offer insights, and dig into whatever just happened onstage—turning comedy into an unexpectedly revealing (and very funny) group session.
The panel of therapists includes Lindsay Jane, Lorena Shadwick, and Sharee Allen, who bring real clinical experience, sharp observations, and a willingness to play along.
The evening’s comedy lineup includes Ran Barnaclo, Luke Capasso, Ossia Dwyer, Garrett Titlebaum, Karl Spaeth- each brave enough to tell jokes and then sit through the follow-up questions.
Part stand-up show, part therapy session, and part social experiment, Stand Up Therapy invites audiences to laugh, cringe, and maybe learn a little about themselves along the way. No audience participation required.
