CINCINNATI – From Fatherless to Fearless®, a leading nonprofit dedicated to empowering and equipping teen girls with strained or absent father relationships, is proud to emerge as the University of Dayton’s Flyer Pitch Competition winner!

Spearheaded by the University of Dayton’s L. Crotty Center, Greater West Dayton Incubator, The Entrepreneurs Center, and PNC Bank, this intense six-month competition was divided into three tracks: tech, main street, and nonprofit. The competition, held annually for the past 18 years, features several promising business ideas that will take the Dayton market by storm.

From Fatherless to Fearless stood out in the nonprofit track for its compelling vision, impact, and passion for the future. Candice Crear, From Fatherless to Fearless’ founder and Executive Director, showcased the story, the critical need, and the sustainability that is eminent for the organization. With three rounds of competing, From Fatherless to Fearless rose to the top and proved that expanding in the Dayton community is the next step in the organization’s growth strategy. This resonated with the judges, making the organization the winner of the Flyer Pitch Competition. The judges commended From Fatherless to Fearless for its already existing impact and potential to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals. The prize includes $10,000 cash and $5,500 in support services.

“Our heart is to serve more girls and impact more families. I am thrilled that we can expand in the Dayton region where I am from,” says Candice. The Dayton Flyer Pitch Competition winner, From Fatherless to Fearless, is excited about its upcoming growth and expansion. With the support gained from this competition, the organization is well-positioned to make a positive difference in the lives of teen girls, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
