As we approach May, there are 2 opportunities to support children through DCCH Center for Children and Families.
First, this Saturday, April 27, 2024 is our annual Swing into Spring signature gala held at the St. Elizabeth Training & Education Center, Erlanger. Funds raised at this event will be used to defray the critical budget shortfall in caring for the youth of DCCH Center’s Residential Treatment Program. The major Care for Kid’s Raffle of $20 a ticket provides the buyer a chance to win one of three cashes prizes: $10,000 first prize, $2,500 for second prize and $1,000 for third prize. Other non-cash raffles are available and over 350 silent auction baskets are ready for bidding from the comforts of your own home. Please support DCCH at www.DCCHCenter.org
Second, as we approach National Foster Care Month, there are some startling statistics we wanted to share to reinforce why our call for help in recruiting foster parents is so important. As of April 7, 2024, there are 8,045 children in “out of home placements” in the state of Kentucky – 1,163 in the Northern Bluegrass region alone (Source: KY Cabinet for Health and Family Services).
DCCH Center for Children and Families has a Therapeutic Foster Care Program dedicated to meeting the enormous demand for caring for foster families in Northern Kentucky. The program continues to seek good homes for children who have been temporarily or permanently placed in the custody of the State of Kentucky. Will you help us help more children?
We invite the community to join us, on May 5, 2024, for a free OPEN HOUSE from 1:30 to 3:30pm at DCCH Campus, 75 Orphanage Road, Fort Mitchel, KY. There is no registration required to come learn more about the services and needs of DCCH. We hope you will consider opening your hearts to young Kentuckians who have previously had their hearts broken and are in desperate need of a caring family.
