Niki Lee Ethington has officially launched her campaign for U.S. Congress in Kentucky’s 4th District, entering the May 2026 Republican primary. She is challenging Thomas Massie, who has held his seat since 2012.

Ethington, described in a press release from her campaign as a conservative Republican, is a “dedicated registered nurse, wife, and mother.”

She has lived on her family farm in Spencer County for over 20 years and is “stepping forward to represent Kentucky families who feel unheard in Washington,” per the release.

“Our district deserves bold leadership — not a congressman who votes against the people,” Ethington said in the release. “Massie voted twice this year to continue taxing your tips, overtime pay, and Social Security. (2/25/25 & 4/10/25). I supported the budget bill that eliminates those taxes — and fortunately, it passed the House without him.”

A Republican, Massie served as the Lewis County Judge Executive before entering Congress. Massie serves on two committees in Congress: the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure and the House Judiciary Committee.
