A Newport food entrepreneur has launched a new brand to help people with gluten-free diets.

Abbi Rettig, founder of Tickety-Boo Treats – an allergen-free treat manufacturer — launched Confidently Gluten
Free. Rettig said the brand will empower people living a gluten-free lifestyle.

“When an individual is diagnosed with Celiac Disease (an autoimmune disease that requires a gluten free diet) or goes gluten free, there is minimal support given for what is a lifelong condition,” Rettig said in a press release. “A person must change their whole lifestyle to thrive. Social settings become challenging and a new framework must be made.”

Confidently Gluten Free is set to release a Gluten Free Guide + Coupons book focused on the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. To compile the book, Rettig partnered with over 100 local businesses and 25 national brands.

“My aim is that when someone is diagnosed, they get this guide to start them on their journey,” Rettig said. “Right now, there isn’t a lot of guidance out there.”

The book costs $45 and includes other free-to-download resources. Pre-orders are available now.

Confidently Gluten Free’s launch event take place on Jan. 25 at Taste on Elm in Ludlow. For additional information, visit confidentlyglutenfree.com.

“We strive to provide numerous gluten free options to the community and are excited to partner and highlight our offerings,” Taste on Elm co-founder Lauren Hodge said in the release.
