The executive director of Northern Kentucky’s top culinary startup incubator is retiring after 13 years at the helm.
Incubator Kitchen Collective was founded by Rachel Desrochers in 2013 to provide entrepreneurs in the food and hospitality space with a facility to grow their businesses. Located at 517 W. 7th St. in Newport, the incubator offers a commercial kitchen and other resources designed to help early-stage ventures develop into established businesses.
Since its founding, Incubator Kitchen has supported over 225 food-oriented startups in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and is currently home to 49 businesses. The incubator has also hosted numerous events showcasing entrepreneurs and their products.
“It has been an honor of my life supporting over 200+ food startups here in the region, supporting more one-time rentals than I could ever count, and being a champion of champions — consistently doing work that builds people up and together,” Desrochers wrote in a Facebook post.
Incubator Kitchen announced Cindy Stanley as its next executive director. Stanley brings previous leadership experience from organizations like the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors.
