Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Covington’s annual Cassba fundraising event will return in August. This year’s theme will be “Stars & Service: Honoring America at 250 and Catholic Charities at 95 Years of Love and Action.” It will celebrate both the 250th anniversary of the United States and 95 years of service from the organization.

The event serves as one of the organization’s flagship fundraising events, and any money raised will go to support the organization’s service efforts, which you can learn about here.

“This special afternoon will bring the community together in support of the vital ministries of Catholic Charities and the people we serve,” reads a press release from the organization. “Attendees can look forward to great music, delicious food, silent and live auctions, raffles and more, all set against the scenic backdrop of Devou Park.”

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Drees Pavilion in Devou Park. More details about the event, including ticketing information, will be released later this year, but the organization is encouraging attendees to mark their calendars now.

Those interested in sponsorship opportunities should contact Ellen Wira by emailing her at ewira@covingtoncharities.org or calling her at (859)669-3635. Stay up to date with announcements about the event at Catholic Charities’ dedicated webpage.
