The Boone County Historic Preservation Review Board will hold public input sessions as part of an update to the county’s Preservation Plan.
The Boone County Historic Preservation Review Board is a county-appointed body that oversees historic preservation efforts, including reviewing changes to designated historic properties and advising on preservation policies.
Its Preservation Plan outlines long-term goals and strategies for protecting historic buildings, landscapes and cultural resources, and guides how preservation is integrated into planning and development decisions.
The sessions are intended to gather feedback on preservation priorities, policies, and future projects related to historic buildings, rural landscapes, archaeological resources, and community heritage.
Scheduled sessions include:
- Saturday, Jan. 24, 10 — 11:30 a.m., Walton Branch Library, 13000 Towne Center Drive, Walton
- Wednesday, Jan. 28, 6 — 7:30 p.m., Old Courthouse, 2980 Washington St., Burlington
- Monday, Feb. 2, 6:30 — 7:30 p.m., online (registration required at https://forms.office.com/r/NBCBxwCDhc)
The preservation board is inviting comments from residents, business owners, and community stakeholders.
