It’s a 9 First Warning Weather Alert Day as snow falls in the Tri-State. While this isn’t going to be a ton of snowfall, it’s still the first snow of the season, and as you all know, that can lead to travel-related issues here in the Tri-State.
The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY until 2 p.m. for all counties in the Tri-State. Our northern counties will are set to expire at 11 a.m. such as Fayette, Union, Butler, Warren, Clinton, Highland, Adams. Light accumulating snow of 1-2″ expected to cause slippery road conditions.
Let’s talk about the roads first. Pavement temperatures continue to fall and we are seeing snow sticking to the roads, especially north of the Ohio River. This is leading to slick spots and slowdown.
Bridges and overpasses are already snow-covered.
