Read Ready Newport is officially launching with a “Celebrating Our Kids” fall festival.
The citywide gathering is to rally around Newport’s youngest learners and their families. The event is on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Make It Rain Hoops Center, 340 W. 10th St. in Newport.
This will be a family-friendly day featuring learning-through-play stations, bouncy houses, community resources, safety vehicles, health partners, library and literacy activities, and classic fall fun (Kona Ice and a grill-out with hamburgers, hot dogs, water and juice.)
