Multiple NKY fire agencies responded to a report of a house struck by lightning on Tuesday.

The strike, which hit an unidentified house, started a small fire in the attic, but no injuries were reported, according to a social media post from Erlanger Fire & EMS.

“Upon arrival, crews noticed the smell of something burning, but did not see any smoke or flames,” according to the post. “Our crews diligently searched the residence and found a small fire in the attic. Luckily, there was no extension to the rest of the home, and all residents and pets were outside safe while the fire was extinguished.”
