Catholic Charities will host its annual CASSBA fundraiser later this month, where participants can enter raffles to win select bourbon bottles, a dream vacation and cash. Funds raised through the raffle will benefit Catholic Charities’ many community efforts, such as the Parish Kitchen and its Mobile Food Pantry.
This year’s event’s theme is “Dreams are a Journey,” and will take place at the Drees Pavilion in Devou Park on Aug. 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. Admission is $100 each and includes an open bar, a meal and dessert. In addition to the raffles, the event will feature live entertainment, food and fundraising auctions.
Other fundraising events and raffles to benefit Catholic Charities will take place throughout the rest of August. The different raffles and events are described below:
Bourbon Barrel Pick Raffle
• The two winners of this raffle will receive a private barrel selection tour at the Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, which is usually closed to the public. Winners will get a private tour for four and will work with the master distiller to select a custom barrel and take home five bottles per person of the selected bourbon. 3rd and 4th place winners will receive five bottles and three bottles, respectively, of the selected barrel. Tickets are $100 each, and the raffle will take place at the CASSBA main event on Aug. 24. Winners do not need to attend the event to win.
Vacation Raffle
Winners from this raffle can choose one of three destination vacations: a seven-night stay in Hawaii (either in Oahu or on the main island) for two, a seven-night condo stay in Siesta Key, Florida, or a four-night stay at a Marriott resort in Tempe, Arizona. Tickets are $25 each, and the winner will be drawn on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at noon at Catholic Charities in Covington.
Cash Raffle
Raffle tickets for this contest are $20 each and are split into three prizes: $10,000; $5,000 and $1,000. Winners will be drawn at the CASSBA main event on Aug. 24. Winners do not need to be present to win.
Silent Auction
Catholic Charities will also be holding a silent auction that will go live on Monday, Aug. 18 at noon.
