Following the severe flooding and storms that impacted the region, Campbell County officials have announced a countywide effort to collect damage reports and assist residents with storm cleanup.
Residents whose homes or businesses sustained damage are urged to complete the Campbell County Damage Survey Report by April 16. Submissions must include at least four photos and only apply to primary residences. While submitting the report does not guarantee individual assistance, it is required to apply for any potential Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster aid.
Examples of damages to report include:
- Flood-damaged vehicles (interior or engine)
- Cracked or shifting home foundations
- Roof damage from wind, fallen trees, or heavy rain
Submit your report here.
In addition, the Campbell County Trash Voucher Program is providing free, unlimited trash vouchers to households impacted by the flooding. The program is available through June 30, and the county will cover the full cost of disposal for approved items.
A voucher is a printed document issued by the county that allows residents to dispose of flood-related debris at approved sites at no cost.
Each voucher is valid for one pickup truckload or an 8-foot trailer load of debris stacked no higher than three feet.
Vouchers can be used to dispose of:
- Drywall and insulation
- Carpeting and rugs
- Furniture
- Yard debris and tree limbs
- Bagged debris and general household waste
Vouchers do not cover hazardous waste, appliances, electronics, tires or liquid waste. Residents are responsible for additional charges for unapproved items. Rumpke reserves the right to refuse certain materials.
