The City of Covington has a new economic development director.
John Sadosky was voted in as Covington Director of Economic Development last Tuesday. Sadosky will take the reins from former Economic Development Director Tom West, who retired on Aug. 1. Sadosky joined the department in 2024 and had served as a sort of interim director as West transitioned out.
“Covington is a remarkable city with a rich history and strong sense of place,” Sadosky said in a city press release. “My goal is to preserve and celebrate the things that make it unique while working to create new opportunities for jobs, housing and vibrant neighborhoods.”
The city’s economic development department is responsible for attracting businesses and amenities to the city. He has a master’s degree in public policy from Georgia State University and has worked in both private and public sector roles related to economic development, including REDI Cincinnati, the city of La Grange, Georgia and Ersnt & Young, an accounting firm out of the UK.
