As a result of the governor-declared state of emergency, the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky has activated the Campbell County Cold Shelter to keep people safe during the winter storm.
The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky is operating the Cold Shelter at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church located at 7 Court St. in Newport. The shelter is available to adults 18 years or older and all genders are welcome.
The days and hours of operation are as follows:
- Monday Jan. 6 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Tuesday Jan. 7 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Wednesday Jan. 8 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Thursday Jan. 9 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The shelter at 436 W 13th St. in Covington will continue to operate 24/7. Guests of the Campbell County Cold Shelter will be transported to the emergency shelter on Monday for our daytime shower and laundry program.

- Call 911 if you, or someone you see, needs immediate help or emergency medical assistance.
- Make a monetary donation to support our efforts to take care of as many guests as possible.
