A coalition of local churches will host an interfaith day of service this weekend, where community members can come out to perform volunteer labor in the community while learning about different service organizations in the region.

“Northern Kentucky’s 2nd Annual Community Day of Service, hosted by a coalition of local churches, offers participants a chance to serve the community through various on-site and off-site projects,” according to an announcement from the event’s organizers. “The event provides an opportunity to connect with local nonprofits, give back and enjoy a complimentary lunch while working alongside neighbors.”

The event is open to all ages, and over 15 local nonprofit and ministry organizations are expected to attend.

The event starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lakeside Park.

Learn more about the event at the church’s Facebook event page.
