The Kentucky Financial Empowerment Commission, established following the passage of House Bill 139 in 2019, which mandated requirements for financial literacy education in Kentucky high schools, announced the release of its new, free financial literacy curriculum for high school teachers this week.
Called FoolProof, the new platform is an upgrade from the commission’s previous curriculum. It features a new user interface, student activities and accommodations for students on IEPs.
“Financial literacy is more important than ever in preparing our students for the challenges of adulthood,” said commission Executive Director Jennifer Inman. “With the upgrade to FoolProof, we are providing educators throughout Kentucky with the tools they need to deliver engaging, effective and inclusive financial education.”
